



Ho Chee Lick
Dr. Ho Chee Lick is a senior lecturer in the Department of Chinese Studies at the National University of Singapore. He earned his PhD in Linguistics from the University of Kansas in the United States. Beyond his academic work, Dr. Ho is a versatile creative: he is an accomplished visual artist, bilingual poet, translator, columnist, and musician.
His artistic journey began in the 1960s at The Chinese High School, where he studied under prominent artists Chen Wen Hsi and Chen Chong Swee. Over the years, his style has undergone continual transformation, reflecting his pursuit of new frontiers in contemporary art. His recent forays into experimental ink work are especially noteworthy—offering a blend of elegance, intensity, and innovation that both captivates and challenges the viewer.
何自力是新加坡国立大学中文系的高级讲师,拥有美国堪萨斯大学语言学博士学位。他才华横溢,除了从事教学与研究工作,也活跃于艺术、诗歌、翻译、专栏写作和音乐等多个领域。
他在上世纪六十年代就读华侨中学时,曾师从著名画家陈文熙与陈冲瑞,开启了他的艺术之路。随着他不断探索当代艺术的边界,其绘画风格也持续变化。近年来,他专注于水墨创作的实验性尝试,作品兼具深度与美感,既引人入胜,又发人深省。
